United Apostolic Church Europe

Background

The following chapters inform you about our historical development until our present existance. Starting with the roots of our denomination, the Catholic-Apostolic Church, the development continued through the "Common Christian Apostolic Mission", to the "New Apostolic Church" and finally to our (present) "United Apostolic Church".

Following the history, you will get to know about our creed which is mostly identical with the "Apostolicum"  (apostolic Creed). The latter was enlarged by some particular articles that focus on the scopes of our denomination. Besides this creed the other three creeds of the early church are recognized.

The next chapters "Sacraments" and "Ministries" give you an idea of our actual church structure. For organizational reasons the apostles elect one of them as secretary (primus inter pares) for a period of four years. The actual secretary of the "United Apostolic Church" is Apostle J. P. Erasmus from South-Africa. Every year three European conferences of the apostles take place to clear theological and organizational questions. Every two years all apostles of the church meet for a worldwide conference. At the moment our churches are led by 13 apostles: Apostles Baron, Böhm, Lieberth, Knauth, Volkmer and Weise (Germany), Apostle Baltisberger (Switzerland), Apostle Grein (France), Apostle Den Haan (Netherlands), Apostle Vanathaian (India), Apostles Dargusch and Flor (Australia) as well as Apostle Erasmus (South-Africa).

The last chapter "Literature" informs you on English literature about our denomination. For available literature in other languages please look at the appropriate page.
